Pendle tokenizes DeFi yields and holds a distinctive position in the broader crypto market as a result. The Pendle price reflects the value of the PENDLE token, which is used within the network for governance and liquidity pool management. Here you’ll learn how the Pendle price is determined, what influences it, and which past and upcoming developments are relevant.

Key facts about the Pendle price at a glance

  • Pendle offers a marketplace for trading DeFi yields through its V2 platform. By tokenizing and separately trading future yields and the underlying principal, the protocol occupies a unique position in the crypto market.
  • The Pendle price tracks the development of the native token PENDLE, which is used for governance and pool management within the "Pencosystem."
  • PENDLE has no maximum supply cap and follows an uncapped structure, but is artificially constrained through a 2% annual inflation rate and an extensive staking mechanism.
  • The Pendle price reached its all-time high on 11 April 2024 at 6.51 EUR amid the Liquid Restaking hype, while the all-time low dates from the crypto winter of 2022 and was recorded on 10 November 2022 at 0.029 EUR.
  • With a market capitalization of around 175 million EUR as of June 2026, PENDLE ranks among the 150 most valuable cryptocurrencies.

How is the Pendle price calculated?

The Pendle price is determined by supply and demand on the market. Demand is heavily driven by the token’s utility, while supply is fundamentally uncapped but artificially constrained:

  • No hard cap: PENDLE has no fixed maximum supply like Bitcoin. Since April 2026, there is a fixed inflation rate of 2% per year, which serves as an incentive for liquidity providers in the pools.
  • Revenue sharing through sPENDLE: Supply is artificially reduced through sPENDLE staking, which supports the Pendle price. In return, investors receive a share of protocol fees, which are largely used for PENDLE buybacks on the open market.
  • Governance utility: sPENDLE is the primary governance asset for Pendle Protocol Proposals (PPP). Tokens must be held in staking in order to vote.

What influences the PENDLE price?

The PENDLE price is primarily influenced by the development of the yield market.

  • Ecosystem developments also play a role: Yield market development: The capital locked in pools (Total Value Locked, TVL) is a key price indicator — the higher, the more positive, and vice versa.
  • Trends around Ethereum: The PENDLE price responds sensitively to trends in the Ethereum ecosystem, on which Pendle (among others) operates. One example is the Liquid Restaking hype in early 2024, when Pendle V2 became one of the most important marketplaces. This was reflected in massive inflows and an all-time high of 6.51 EUR on 11 April 2024.
  • Ecosystem updates: Product expansions have a direct effect on the Pendle price — as seen in August 2025 with the launch of Boros, when the token price rose by 40% within just a few days.
  • Competition: Since the concept of yield trading is highly attractive, competition is intensifying and Pendle is no longer the sole center of attention in this space. When competing protocols or forks on other blockchains emerge, this can draw liquidity away from the “Pencosystem” and affect the PENDLE price.

Price history: Key events in the PENDLE price development

  1. June 2026: Current Pendle price
Despite a weak broader market, Pendle held relatively steady in the first half of 2026. In mid-May, the PENDLE price stood at 1.82 EUR — higher than at the turn of the year. However, a drop followed and in June 2026, the price is consolidating in a range between 1.00 and 1.10 EUR.
  2. 2025: Boros upgrade and correction
The first half of 2025 was marked by a broad market correction with a low of 1.77 EUR, before a recovery and the launch of Boros pushed the PENDLE price to an interim high of 5.19 EUR in late August. A strong fundamental impulse came in late summer through the highly anticipated ecosystem update. By year-end, however, Pendle followed the broader market and fell roughly 70% from its yearly high to 1.57 EUR.
  3. 2024: Liquid Restaking hype leads to Pendle all-time high
Carrying momentum from 2023 and a PENDLE price around the 1 EUR mark, enormous demand for DeFi yield products drove the price sharply higher. The peak came in spring, when the Liquid Restaking hype reached its climax — and the Pendle price marked its all-time high of 6.51 EUR on 11 April 2024.

After the airdrop wave faded over the summer, the price corrected noticeably in the second half of the year, but still closed with roughly a fivefold gain at just under 5 EUR.
  4. 2021 to 2023: Downtrend, low, and uptrend
Following the protocol launch in spring 2021, the Pendle price spent its first year in a sustained downward spiral that extended deep into the crypto winter of 2022. Despite recovery attempts — such as in late August 2021 (above 1 EUR) or early January 2022 (above 0.50 EUR) — Pendle marked its all-time low of 0.029 EUR on 10 November 2022.

It was only over the course of 2023 that early developments around the fundamental V2 infrastructure triggered a recovery that gained momentum month by month and put Pendle into a sustained uptrend.

Current developments: Pendle price outlook

The outlook for the Pendle price is based primarily on whether demand for yield trading in the DeFi sector rises or falls. If committed capital in the pools increases, this could have a positive effect on the PENDLE price. It also remains to be seen how successfully the ecosystem expands into funding and rate markets via Boros.

At the same time, Pendle faces growing competition. For a long time, the ecosystem was seen as a quasi-monopoly in the crypto world — but it now competes with comparable projects like Spectra. The more competition emerges in the direct market environment, the more liquidity could be distributed — potentially slowing the PENDLE price.
