Understand the Civic (CVC) Euro Price

Civic has taken an uncommon approach in the crypto market: its ecosystem offers decentralized identity solutions (Decentralized Identity, DID). Both businesses and individuals can use the protocol for secure verifications. The Civic price reflects the performance of the native currency CVC. Here you will learn which factors have influenced the cryptocurrency that was introduced in 2017, how its price has developed since then, and about the current forecasts for Civic.

Key facts about the Civic price

  • Civic is an ecosystem for decentralized identity solutions (DID) that gives users control over their data and enables companies to perform secure, compliant verifications. Since September 2025, Civic has also been offering an AI automation platform.
  • The Civic price reflects the performance of CVC, the protocol’s native token. Its value is mainly influenced by the adoption of the identity product Civic Auth and the general sentiment in the Solana ecosystem.
  • The maximum supply is capped at one billion CVC tokens, all of which are already in circulation at a market capitalization of around EUR 52 million (as of fall 2025, ranking 450 among all coins).
  • CVC’s all-time high was on January 4, 2018, around EUR 1.12, while the ERC-20 token’s all-time low dates to March 2020 at around EUR 0.009.
  • Forecasts for Civic largely depend on how the adoption of the new product Nexus evolves alongside existing offerings and how the market perceives this strategic shift in focus.

How is the Civic price calculated? ?

The tokenomics behind Civic are simple compared to other protocols, such as those in the DeFi space. They form the basis for supply, while demand is mainly driven by the use of Civic Auth (identity verifications):

  • Limited total supply: The maximum supply of CVC is capped at one billion tokens, fully in circulation. The cap protects against inflation and can support the Civic price as demand increases.
  • Payment method in the ecosystem: CVC is the main utility token for transactions within the ecosystem. Services pay validators in the network for identity checks with CVC.

What influences Civic price?

As a specialized token for decentralized identity (DID), the Civic price is mainly influenced by product adoption and sentiment in the Solana ecosystem:

  • Adoption of Civic Auth: A key price driver is the acceptance and use of Civic Auth. The more DeFi protocols or NFT marketplaces use Civic Auth for bot protection (Sybil resistance) and compliance (KYC), the higher the demand for CVC transactions.
  • Growth of Solana: Civic is offered as an ERC-20 token and has strategically focused early on the Solana blockchain but also runs on others such as Polygon and Arbitrum. The CVC price is therefore also influenced by general sentiment and growth in the Solana ecosystem.
  • Ecosystem news: Announcements about products, such as the discontinuation of Civic Pass in June 2025, the introduction of new features, and announcements of partnerships can also affect the price.

Price history: Key events in CVC price development

  1. October 2025: Current Civic price
Throughout 2025, Civic’s price has been trending lower. From the yearly high of EUR 0.20 reached in January, CVC is down about 75 percent by fall 2025. The price is currently hovering around EUR 0.05, its lowest level since early 2021.
  2. 2023 to 2024: Sideways phase and strong bull run
In 2023, Civic’s price moved sideways, settling around EUR 0.09. Only in 2024 did strong momentum return, partly due to increased interest in the DID sector. CVC climbed to EUR 0.22 in April, dropped back below EUR 0.09, and recovered by year-end, boosted in part by the Trump election, with interim highs above EUR 0.20.
  3. 2021 to 2022: Bull market high and steep decline
The 2021 cryptocurrency bull run propelled the price of CVC significantly higher. Fueled by the hype around the Solana ecosystem and the NFT market, where Civic offered verification solutions, the price reached a multi-year high of around EUR 0.79 in September 2021. The subsequent crypto winter in 2022 pulled CVC down along with the broader market, and by year-end the price had fallen below EUR 0.08.
  4. 2019 to 2020: All-time low during the COVID crash and renewed surge
The year 2019 saw little progress for Civic’s price, with no major spikes and CVC closing more than 50 percent lower than at the start of the year at around EUR 0.019.

During the COVID crash in mid-March 2020, the Civic price hit its all-time low at EUR 0.009. This was followed by a rally that pushed the price up nearly 400 percent to EUR 0.044. After another sell-off toward EUR 0.02, the Civic price surged at the end of the year. Interim highs around EUR 0.10 laid the foundation for further peaks in spring 2021.
  5. 2017 to 2018: ICO and ATH for CVC, followed by a correction
Following its launch in 2017, Civic (CVC) was swiftly swept up in the cryptocurrency hype. An initial surge to approximately EUR 0.62 in August was quickly followed by profit-taking. Renewed momentum emerged around the turn of the year, and on 4 January 2018, Civic reached its all-time high at roughly EUR 1.12, with some exchanges quoting up to EUR 1.43.

Following a rally close to 400% since mid-December, the price experienced a sharp correction. After a brief rebound in May, Civic closed the year at EUR 0.047, approximately 96% below its annual high.

Current developments: Forecasting the Civic price

Forecasts for Civic’s price, currently hovering near multi-year lows, are closely tied to adoption of its product suite. In September, the company behind the token introduced Civic Nexus, an AI automation platform that, by design, is not a crypto-related product. Public communications are now fully centered around this new offering.

How Civic Nexus will be adopted, and what impact it may have on CVC’s price performance, remains uncertain. Many users in this segment might shift their attention back to Auth, the original “core product”, while the market could also interpret the strategic pivot toward a primarily non-blockchain offering as a negative signal.
