When you stake, you hold cryptocurrencies of your choice in a digital wallet while they are used to support the network—specifically to validate transactions and maintain consensus on the blockchain.

The staking calculator uses the current staking reward paid out to BISON customers as the basis for its calculations. The staking reward is based on the network reward, the amount of which can change hourly depending on protocol activity (see our special staking conditions). The actual amount of staking rewards and the achievable return may therefore fluctuate and could be higher or lower than expected. A fixed return cannot be predicted or guaranteed. The values provided are merely an estimate based on the current staking rewards paid out to BISON customers.

What is the annual percentage rate (APR) for staking with BISON?
How can I unstake my cryptocurrencies?
You can unstake your cryptocurrencies at any time via the staking feature in your BISON app, making them available to you again. During the unstaking process, however, your coins cannot be traded or withdrawn.
How long does it take to unstake my cryptocurrencies from staking?
The duration of the unstaking period depends on the respective blockchain and currently ranges from 1 to 45 days. When you initiate unstaking, you will see the expected processing time.
Where can I find information about my staking rewards for tax purposes?
You can find details about your staking rewards for tax purposes in the info report. This is available both in the transaction overview and in the settings of your BISON app.
The report for the respective year will be sent to your email address as a PDF. Please keep in mind that this report is not legally binding. You are responsible for reviewing and reporting the information on your tax return. For specific questions, please consult your tax advisor.
